Our Story

I started my career in tech as an engineer (rotating between the pot of coffee and overpriced $6 capuccinos). After a few years, I decided to take a break and travel. I ended up spending some time working at a cafe in Melbourne, and then some time in Japan. I was fascinated by the effect matcha had on me—relaxing, and kept me focused without an incoming crash. I wish we had this at the office!

My goal with Shinzo is to create a matcha drink that is simple to make (the work day is already chaotic enough) and delicious. Caffeine, without the crash. We're still in the early innings, so I'd love to hear from you. Reach out at shrey@shinzomatcha.com.
